Sharing and Link Previews
Every event has its own link, and the calendar has a Share button that copies it or opens your device's share sheet. When a link is pasted into a chat or a social post, the preview shows the event's title, its date and its first image.
The Share button
The calendar's header has a Share button, and so does each event's page. On a device whose browser offers a share sheet, the button opens it. Otherwise the button copies the link and briefly shows "Copied!". The header button shares the calendar's link, with the view the visitor is on. The button on an event's page shares that event's link.
Event links
An event link looks like this, with your view's slug and the event's ID:
https://embed.already.events/v/your-view-slug/event/<event-id>If you have claimed a subdomain, the same path works there, for example https://your-name.already.events/v/your-view-slug/event/<event-id>. Opening an event link shows the calendar with that event open.
Link previews
When a link to an event is pasted into a chat or a social post, the preview shows:
- Title: the event's name and its date.
- Description: the beginning of the event's description, or its location when the description is empty. With neither, the preview uses the header description, or the next upcoming event when there is none.
- Image: the event's first image. An event with no image gets a generated card instead.
A link to the calendar itself shows the header title, the header description (or the next upcoming event when there is none), and a generated card.
