Create a View
A view is a configured calendar display that you can embed on your website. Each view has its own theme, layout, and set of calendars.
Create a new view
- In the dashboard, go to Views and click Create View
- Give your view a name (e.g. "Community Events" or "Workshop Calendar")
- Select which calendars to include — you can combine events from multiple Google Calendars into a single view
Configure the display
After creating a view, you can customize how it looks:
- Default view — choose which view type visitors see first: month, week, day, grid, or list
- Show past events — toggle whether past events are visible by default
- Collect RSVPs on every event: adds an RSVP button to every event in this view. See RSVP.
- Theme: pick a layout, and a palette or Match site (the default), which makes a script-tag embed take its colors and font from your page. See Palettes and Layouts.
The live preview updates as you make changes so you can see exactly how your calendar will look.
Claim a subdomain
Your account can claim one custom subdomain like your-name.already.events. Each published view is then reachable at https://your-name.already.events/v/your-view-slug, which gives you a direct URL to share your calendar in addition to embedding it on your own site. The subdomain's home page lists your published views, or goes straight to the default view if you choose that in the subdomain settings.
To claim a subdomain, open the Account page and enter the name you want in the Custom subdomain card.
